MMA is a women-owned business that specializes in convention, meeting and event planning along with convention analysis and lead management. Our company mission is to be a recognized leader in strategic and logistic services for conventions, meetings and events. Emphasis is on exceptional personalized service tailored to meet individual clients’ needs, to continually improve processes and cost efficiencies while partnering with clients and functioning as an extension of their company.
At MMA, we have over 20 experienced team members in the healthcare meeting and convention planning arena. MMA’s home office is located in beautiful Sherburne, NY and has remote offices around the country. In addition, we utilize a number of travel directors on an as needed basis in various cities for on-site assistance.
Employees of MMA are encouraged to attend convention-related courses and work toward completing their Certified HealthCare Meeting Professional (CMP-HC), Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM), Certified Manager of Exhibits (CME) certifications. We are members of the HealthCare Convention & Exhibitors Association (HCEA) and Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) and as such attend webinars and stay up-to-date with all industry trends. As a company, we stay in tune of all PhRMA Code, OIG and AMA guidelines and subscribe to Pharmaceutical Executive as well as attend courses relating to PhRMA Code rules and regulations. In addition, due to our relationship with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, we are required to understand ACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education) guidelines.
Meet Our Team
Janice has over 32 years experience in the meeting and convention management arena and is founder of Meeting Management Associates.
She was a convention/meeting manager at Procter & Gamble with emphasis on the healthcare arena. She was Project Manager and then Executive Director of MHAUS, a non-profit organization while simultaneously managing and growing MMA.
Janice has a BS degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Janice has certification as a Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM) through University of San Francisco and a Certified Exhibit Manager (CEM) through TS2.
Oria has worked for the company in various capacities since 2011. He is an integral part of our Association Department working with clients on their exhibit and sponsorship management strategy along with contract management.
Oria has earned his BS degree in Business/Economics from the State University of New York at Oneonta in 2015, an MBA/MF from the Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi in 2018 and a Digital Event Strategist (DES) certification through PCMA.
Emily serves as a Registration Coordinator at MMA within our Systems Infrastructure Management Department. With over nine years of customer service experience, she supports our clients’ needs, assists with event registrations, and marketing databases. Emily has an Associate’s Degree in Health Sciences from SUNY Broome Community College.
Angela is one of MMA’s Sponsorship Coordinators, assisting clients with the management of their sponsorships and memberships. With over 10 years of experience in both Customer Service and the Medical Industry, Angela utilizes her knowledge to exceed customers’ expectations.
Brenda is the Director of our convention area. The convention team currently manages more than 150 conventions per year. Brenda is instrumental in identifying cost efficiencies, streamlining processes and developing strategic initiatives for MMA’s clients.
She has a BS degree in Communications from Alfred University. Brenda has her certification as a Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM) through Northern Illinois University.
Craig brings 16 years of customer facing workforce experience to the MMA team including, four years overseeing all aspects of production and distribution of a wide variety of promotional products for both private and corporate events.
More recently Craig worked in the communications industry where he spent over 5 years building customer relations and assessing their needs to keep up with the demand of an ever evolving industry.
Jen’s extensive customer service background and dedication to detail pair perfectly for client requisition support and invoice investigations. Jen is proud to be a part of the Budget Support Team building trusted relationships with clients, interdepartmental colleagues and outside suppliers.
With over 25 years experience in the meeting and convention management arena working for Meeting Management Associates. Lisa is the Director of our sales department and is active in the special projects arena of the company along with keeping abreast of latest trends in the industry.
She is a Certified Meeting Planner with a sub-specialty in healthcare meetings through The Events Industry Council, has a Bachelor of Advertising Specialty Information designation and is a Certified Toastmaster.
Becky is a Sponsorship Coordinator for one of our clients in the biotechnology field. She brings to MMA a foundation of 25+ years of diverse experiences and skills, along with BS degree in Management and an MS degree in Reading Education.
Amanda is a sponsorship coordinator at MMA. She assists a healthcare company with the management and logistics of their various sponsorships & memberships. She also works with the healthcare company with contracting for their Patient and HCP engagements. Amanda comes to MMA with over 12 years of customer service and management experience.
Desiree joined MMA in 2020, bringing with her 28 years of customer service experience. She previously spent 20 years in Telecommunications, where she held such positions as a Facilities Assignor, Systems Analyst, and a Network Translations Engineer. From these experiences, Desiree has successfully cultivated her knowledge of frontline customer care, and end-user systems support into the ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience that is preeminent.
Jody has been with Meeting Management since 2017 and is currently responsible for leading the Sponsorship Team. Jody works closely with clients to develop and improve processes to align with their specific corporate needs. With over 25 years of customer service expertise, many of those years being served in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, Jody brings a vast knowledge of Healthcare Compliance and sensitive data management.
Maggie is a Sponsorship Coordinator and has been managing the logistics of memberships and sponsorships for Healthcare Industry partners at MMA for 4 years. Maggie assists the client with adding and maintaining vendor records by utilizing client specific software to support minimizing Healthcare Compliance risks and ensure Fair Market Value as well as Return On Investment.
Mollie is part of the Budget Support Team. With over 10 years of customer service experience, she assists with tracking vendor expenses and fulfilling required financial reporting. Mollie graduated with a BS degree in Journalism and Communications for Online Media in 2014 from Morrisville State College.
Jill focuses her efforts on serving the needs of MMA’s professional association clients by building and maintaining relationships with exhibitors and sponsors who support these organizations.
She joins MMA with a foundation of diverse experience and skills honed by many years of event management in travel & tourism, hospitality & entertainment and international shipping & logistics.
Jill manages sponsorship development for our clients’ professional conventions and conferences leading to long-term partnerships.
Grace is part of MMA’s marketing team with a focus on digital marketing and social media. Grace brings a high level of service through years of experience in media and events. Her expertise ensures each client exceeds marketing goals. Grace has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from Elmira College.
Elise has been with Meeting Management since 2007 and is responsible for overseeing the finance department as well as assisting with the management and tracking of client budgets.
Elise graduated with a BS degree in Applied Mathematics from SUNY Oswego. Prior to joining MMA, she worked on her family dairy farm.
Liam brings over 15 years of Marketing, Design and Event Management experience to MMA. Liam’s background is in Graphic Design but has experience in Sales Management, Event Coordinating, and Customer Service as well. He has a BA degree in Design and Illustration from the University at Buffalo.
Diane joins the MMA team assisting on both the Administrative and Budget teams. Prior to joining MMA, she spent twenty three years working in the veterinary field as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She looks forward to working with a close knit team to ensure our clients’ goals are always met.
Nancy serves as the Lead for the Administrative and Sponsorship Coordination teams for healthcare related companies. Her background focused on customer service, attention to detail and proactively working towards a common goal. With her AS in Business Administration from SUNY Morrisville and experience, Nancy has a diversified knowledge of Administrative support and leadership.
Thirty-two years experience as Manager at Coca-Cola comes to Meeting Management with insight into process improvements and operations development.
Todd is Director of operations managing the convention on-site process, warehouse, financial department, promotional products and office maintenance. Todd joined MMA in 1999 after ten years of on-site management on a part-time basis.
Elle serves as a conference coordinator. Her extensive background in management and customer service makes her a strong asset to the coordination team. She works closely with clients to understand their needs and concerns to set a clear purpose and objective for each occasion. She manages various moving parts such as venue, lodging, expenses and food and beverage services. Elle ensures events go smoothly, handling on-site logistics and last-minute changes with efficiency and professionalism.
